The SPCP by SEI is a selective admissions program aiming to support student success and supply a skilled workforce for the solar sector. To assess a student's chances of successfully finishing the program, how well their career goals align, and if they are a good match for the training program, all student candidates must fill out a certificate program application. You can earn several certificates by enrolling in additional courses within your initial certificate program.
A 6-unit online training program offers entry-level students and technicians a foundation in off-grid, solar electric system fundamentals. The program covers designing and installing small PV systems, as well as common solar applications, electrical basics, and testing circuits. Students also learn about integrating solar modules, charge controllers, batteries, and inverters. Advanced lessons focus on PV system design and installation techniques.
